i just stumbled upon this community while trippin' through the garden of lj and thought i'd join and give it a whirl.

i absolutely loved the bohemian manifesto that was written quite awhile back. was a very inspiring read.

okay, a bit about myself...i go by the name daisy. was given to me over 13 yrs ago on my first day of college and i love it.
i'm married to my soulmate and we escaped big city life last august and moved out to the country, leaving the security of my husband's well paying job to live a life we've always dreamed of. financially its been a disaster. but spiritually, and artistically, wow. it's been a life saver.
i write (young adult and chick-lit...plus reams of poetry and bizarre quirky short stories), i sew (interesting frocks and accessories), i bead (jewelery of all kinds...gothic, hippy, and belly dancing accessories), i pray (to the goddess and many celtic and hindu gods), i dance (belly dancing, ecstatic/trance, tribal and i'm always exploring other forms).
i've recently been introduced to ATC's (art-trading-cards) and art-journalling.
i'm at my happiest when i'm creating or as i read once on a friend's lj...cre-ART-ing. :D
and dancing. i feel so free and so connected to the earth.
well i think i've rambled on long enough.
i look forward to being apart of this community.
thanx for having me.

I wrote that Manifesto... when I was like 14, I'm glad to see that it hasn't been forgotten.

welcome daisy... good to have you! you're a writer, right on... as well as many other things! multi-faceted is always a plus. To which country did you escape? And as long as you're happy... it seems like money means pretty little after that =)
